    RMSI has made great strides with developing a culture of Safety. Beginning with a National Safety Committee with participation by our employees, and the introduction of safety binders, we introduced a new era of safety dialogue in 2012. Determined on intensifying our efforts, we drilled down further, introducing Divisional Safety Committees, expanding our reach and delivering to more of our “Front Line Employees.” These committees were provided additional support with the National roll out of Nurse on Call, RMSI’s 24 hour a day, 7 day a week, safety triage line. So, no matter where in the country, or at what time of day, if an RMSI employee is injured they have access to a registered nurse who can assist over the phone and direct the employee to the nearest facility. These initiatives carried RMSI into 2014 with the respect and admiration of our workman’s compensation partners and our LOWEST RISK SCORE TO DATE! Understanding that the two go hand in hand, “Health & Safety First!” is not only our new motto, but two very important RMSI priorities for this year. To kick off this sweeping initiative we are happy to unveil the new look of our safety logo and motto. We’ve known for some time that we have the best and brightest working at RMSI, we’ve come to learn we also have the most creative! Our new logo was designed by one of our very own, Kristin Evitt, and will be a key feature in RMSI literature and branding going forward. We couldn’t be happier and are proud to look back with deep satisfaction at the strides we’ve made in developing and maintaining a culture of safety. We recognize that as an organization-- but more importantly as individuals who make up a TEAM-- we are better off today than ever before and confidently look forward to thriving in health AND safety in 2014!

    RMSI will be attending FMI 2010, the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) tradeshow in May of this year. The event will be held in Las Vegas May 10- 13. FMI, as a trade association, represents over 1500 food retailers and wholesalers in the US and around the world. Their membership includes retailers that operate over 26,000 food stores and 14,000 pharmacies. The show is expected to draw over 17,000 industry leaders. During this industry event, RMSI associates will focus on bringing to the industry information on the value added services we have to offer with emphasis on: Speed to Market, National in Scope, The RMSI Guarantee, Store Reporting System (SRS Brand In Place), Logistics Support and our Detailed Planning Process. Attendance at this show is just one of the steps RMSI will be taking in 2010 to brand ourselves in the market and increase market awareness of the value proposition we deliver to our clients.
